How to Make a Banana Milkshake Without Vanilla Extract
Milk shakes are not only delicious, but they are a great way to add vitamins and minerals to your diet with the help of supplements. To mask the taste of the variety of vitamin supplements you can add to your milk shakes, vanilla extract is a good addition. But if you are allergic to vanilla or do not like vanilla extract, another strong flavor that you can add to your milk shake is banana. Things You'll Need
- Banana Yogurt Skim milk Orange juice Vitamin powder (if desired) Plain or banana yogurt Whipped cream, sprinkles, chocolate syrup and other toppings Blender

Peel a banana and break it into small pieces. Place the banana in a blender.

Pour a few tablespoons of orange juice in the blender.

Measure 1 cup skim milk and place it in the blender. If desired, you can substitute soy milk or rice milk.

Add vitamin powder, such as CytoSport. GNC or your local vitamin store will have several selections for protein and vitamin powder to add into milk shakes.

Add 1/2 cup yogurt, preferably nonfat.

Blend until smooth. This recipe makes one milk shake.

Add chocolate syrup, sprinkles or whipped cream if you are enjoying your milk shake as a dessert.

Tips & Warnings
Add other fruit to your milkshake, including strawberries and blueberries, for variety.
