1
Cut the 2-inch wide ribbon into a 1-foot-long ribbon. Cut the edges at an angle or cut a triangle out of the end to slow the rate of fraying and to give the bow a decorative touch.
-
2
Make two 2-inch-long loops, one on both ends of the bow. Cross these loops in the center. There will be about 2 inches of tail left over for each loop.

-
3
Using the hot glue gun on low heat, glue the layers of the bow where they cross in the center.
-
4
Cut another piece of 2-inch wide ribbon into a 3-inch-long length.
-
5
Wrap the 3-inch length of ribbon around the center of the bow, where the loops crossed. Glue it into place with the hot glue gun on low heat.
-
6
Turn the heat of the hot glue gun to high. Glue the bow onto the hair clip.

Tips & Warnings
You can further decorate the bows by adding glitter or sequins by gluing them onto the ribbon before making the bow. Fabric paint can also be used on the ribbon.
Do not let children use a hot glue gun. It can cause burns even on low heat.
