Funny and inspirational posters have been springing up all over the Internet. While they used to be just an office decoration, now anyone can make and distribute them. You can make your own for online use, or you can print it and put it on your own wall.

Start up your image-editing software and create an image size based on your output. For use on the web, 800 by 600 pixels is standard. If you plan to have your poster printed professionally, consult with the printing company for canvas sizes.
Fill the image with a black background.
Find a motivational picture. It can be your own, or it can be a royalty-free stock image from the Internet. Place this image in the middle of the black background, leaving space around all sides. Leave enough room at the bottom for the inspirational message.
Surround the inspirational image with a white border.
In large white print, add a motivational phrase that goes along with your image. Underneath that, add a special quote or explanation to help inspire you.

- Motivational posters work best if they use horizontal images. Any image-editing software will do, including Adobe Photoshop, Gimp, or MS Paint. Stock images can be found at www.creativecommons.org or other stock sites. Try an easy-to-read font like Arial or Times New Roman.
