How to Identify 12-String Fender Guitars
When buying a 12-string Fender guitar from a second-hand shop, online or from a private dealer, it may be hard to tell if the guitar is in fact a true Fender. Being able to identify the guitars model number, and manufacture date, will ensure that the guitar we bring home is indeed a Fender guitar, and not a knock off.
Instructions

-
1
Lift the guitar and look inside the sound hole, which is located on the body between the neck and the bridge.
-
2
Locate the Fender sticker that is stuck to the inside-back of the guitar, directly across from the sound hole. There will be a letter and number written on the sticker, that is the model type. For example if the letters and numbers read DC-17, that is a Fender DC-17 12-string guitar.
