Corkboard is an inexpensive way to display a variety of jewelry types and allows endless arrangement possibilities. This method is ideal for displaying jewelry that you have made and will be selling at an arts and crafts fair, or if you simply wish to display your own jewelry at home.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Corkboard Thumbtacks
  1. Step 1

Clean off anything that might be on the corkboard if it has been in used.

  2. Step 2

Choose an assortment of thumbtacks that will complement your jewelry and help to organize it. You can use all clear or all one-color tacks. However, if you have a rainbow variety, you can organize your jewelry by color this way.

  3. Step 3

Place the thumbtacks in at an angle so that when earring hooks are placed on them, they aren't completely sideways. This will help keep them from sliding off.

  4. Step 4

Create a grid on the board so that when a piece of jewelry is hung on a thumbtack it will have about 6 to 9 square inches of space. This allows for bracelets and earrings of different sizes.

  5. Step 5

Place the tacks in other formations if you don't prefer a structural grid. For fun, try a circle or wave. If you have lots of small jewelry such as small earrings, then you can fit the thumbtacks closer together. If you have mostly necklaces, then you might need to create long columns for them by creating rows of thumbtacks that don't have anything beneath them.

Tips & Warnings
  • Specialized thumbtacks can be purchased at craft stores. Decorating the boarder of the corkboard with scrapbooking supplies adds a nice touch.
