Things You'll Need:

  • Bare Escentuals mineral makeup Bare Escentuals Mineral Veil Bare Escentuals Warmth Bare Escentuals Skin Rev-er Upper Kabuki brush Powder brush Cleanser Toner Moisturizer Cotton balls Concealer
  1. Step 1

Prep your skin. To get the most out of mineral makeup, you must properly prep your skin before applying the minerals. Cleanse your skin and towel dry it gently. Soak a cotton ball with toner and apply the toner to your face. Follow up with your favorite moisturizer. Allow the moisturizer to absorb into your skin for at least 10 minutes and then finish by applying a makeup primer such as Bare Escentuals Skin Rev-er Upper.

  2. Step 2

Conceal any imperfections. If you use concealer to cover up blemishes or dark circles, you must apply it prior to applying the mineral makeup. Dab the concealer onto your under-eye area and onto any blemishes. Blend the concealer into your skin to reduce the redness and dark circles.

  3. Step 3

Load minerals onto the brush. Open the jar of Bare Escentuals minerals and tap some minerals into the lid. Take your kabuki brush and swirl it around in the minerals to gather the product onto the bristles of the brush. When you feel you have loaded the brush to your satisfaction with minerals tap the brush on the side of the lid to remove any excess product.

  4. Step 4

Apply the minerals. Starting with the outside of your face, dust the product onto your skin using a circular motion. One brush full should cover at least half to three quarters of your face. If your brush runs out of minerals, simply repeat Step 3. Apply the product in layers until you achieve your desired coverage.

  5. Step 5

Get that glow. Many individuals like to add a touch of color to their skin so they don't look washed out. Applying Bare Escentuals Warmth does the trick. Tap a small amount of Warmth into the lid of the jar. Take your powder brush and swirl it around in minerals. Starting with the outside of your face, use a light hand to apply the bronzer onto your skin. If necessary, reload the brush and apply another layer

  6. Step 6

Finish up. Tap some of the Bare Escentuals Mineral Veil into the lid of the jar. Swirl your powder brush around to load the minerals onto the brush. Tap the brush on the side of the jar to remove any excess product. Apply the Mineral Veil onto your face starting with the outside of your face. If necessary, reload your brush and apply another layer. Finish up by adding a touch of blush to the apples of your cheeks.

Tips & Warnings
  • If you desire heavier coverage, apply the mineral makeup wet. Load the minerals onto the makeup brush and spritz the brush with water. Using a light hand dust the dampened minerals onto your skin.
