1
Transform your child's plain floor into a maze of polka dots by placing some red circular carpet pieces on top of his current neutral colored carpet or hardwood flooring. If his current carpet has a busy pattern, you may want to change it out for a carpet without a pattern to really emphasize the polka dots and prevent the carpet from appearing to busy. Check out IKEA for the circular carpet pieces.

Add red polka dotted window treatments to your child's bedroom décor. You could either add a white valance littered with tiny polka dots or more traditional curtains that fall to the floor with either large or small red polka dots. You may also choose to add large, red circular window decals to your window. It will be fun for your child to stick these to the window and further add to your theme.

Purchase polka dotted bedding. You can add as many or as few polka dots to your theme with your choice of bedding. Choose a bedspread with large red polka dots over any color background of your liking. Make sure to select coordinating pillow shams and a bed skirt. Choose sheets littered with tiny red polka dots as well. You may want to buy several sets of sheets so you can still have polka dots when one set is in the laundry. Stores such as Bed, Bath and Beyond and J.C. Penny carry an array of different sheets and comforters for you to check out.

Create a polka dot masterpiece on your child's walls. You can add as many or as few polka dots to the walls depending on your taste. For just a touch of polka dot, choose a wall paper border littered with larger or small red dots. Add the border to the wall just below the ceiling or to the center of the wall to create a chair rail effect. You may also want to cover the entire wall with wall paper covered in tiny red dots. Additionally, you may choose to add larger red circular decals to a plainly painted wall to create a polka dot look that can be easily changed. Finally, you may choose to paint red polka dot circles on the walls using a stencil and red paint.
