A typical American work day is eight hours, but eight hours can be really boring with a local radio station. Since radio stations are designed for people listening in their car on their way to and from work, hearing the same song 17 times in one work day isn't unusual. Lets face it, that is so annoying, but luckily the Internet is a great way to listen to the radio without annoying commercials. With Pandora radio you can tailor stations to fit your exact musical preferences and listen for hours without hearing any one artist repeatedly.

  1. Step 1

    Go to pandora.com to start using Pandora radio station. Simply type in your favorite artist or song and pandora does all of the work for you. The creates a playlist of music that matches the same characteristics of your favorite songs. Signing up for an account is easy and free and it allows you to log in and listen to your specific station anytime and from any computer.

  2. Step 2

    To add a new station simply click on the "Add a New Station" button and type in a song or artist you want to hear more of. andora is a great way to discover new artists so add new stations such as "Jazz" to hear classics as well as new favorites. Everything is free so add as many stations as you want. To listen to another station you have already created simply click on the title of that station.

  3. Step 3

    To stop a song you hate mouse over the picture and click the thumbs down sign. The song will stop playing immediately. Conversely to remember a song you love, click on the thumbs up button. This song will be played more in the queue. Click the "Menu" button in between the thumbs up and thumbs down signs to bookmark a song to remember for later. You can also click to buy the song and ask pandora why they chose that song.

  4. Step 4

    Pandora is a great tool to find out concerts in your area and learn more about your favorite genre of music. To keep your pandora radio playing even when you are on the go, install the iphone or touch ipod application to those devices. It is now easier to listen to your stations than ever before. Other phones have the same service, so check with your service provider to see if you can get pandora on your phone.

Tips & Warnings
  • Turn the music down not everyone in your office loves your taste.
  • If your account is saved into your computer the music will start as soon as you navigate to the page so make sure you want to listen at that moment.
