How to Set Up a Changing Table
A well-stocked changing table is more than a place to change a baby's diaper. A changing table stocked with all the equipment and supplies necessary for taking care of baby will simplify the tasks that accompany daily baby care.
Not only will a parent be changing a baby's diaper at a changing table, a parent will also dress the baby, perform hygiene and personal grooming tasks, and even give the baby focused attention.

Organize all items for the changing table before the baby arrives. Wash, dry, and neatly fold all of the new baby's clothing. Organize the clothing by outfits, and put each complete outfit away together on shelves or in drawers. Place all of the undershirts and socks away together. Place other separates (sweaters and hats) together in a drawer as well.

Use a basket for the washcloths and towels, and fold these items together. Place the diapers in the diaper stacker, and hang nearby the changing table. 4
Keep a small basket full of colorful, special toys to use for entertaining baby during diaper changes or other baby care. The baby will learn to anticipate special play, and this can be an enjoyable bonding time for baby and parent.
