Clean Pampered Chef Cooking Utensils

Pampered Chef utensils are designed for the everyday chef. With that in mind, they are created to be easy to clean. Most utensils are dishwasher safe. Some, however, are not and it is important to know which are which. Not everything will be covered by the warranty if it was placed in the dishwasher when it wasn't supposed to be. It is always best to rinse the utensils immediately after use, which will make them easier to clean.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Dishwasher Soap Nylon scraper Baby bottle brush
  1. Step 1

Read the use and care instructions that come with everything Pampered Chef sells.

  2. Step 2

If you can not find your use and care card you can go on the Pampered Chef website and look it up, or you can call your Pampered Chef consultant with questions.

  3. Step 3

Wash utensils before the first use.

  4. Step 4

Place utensils in the dishwasher. The nylon utensils, stainless steel items and bamboo spoons are all dishwasher safe. The stainless steel utensils are rust resistant, and the bamboo utensils are water resistant so they won't crack or split like wood utensils do.

  5. Step 5

Put the protective covers in the utensil holder in the dishwasher. Utensils that have protective covers include the cook's corer, pizza cutter and sage green knives.

  6. Step 6

Hand wash the ice cream dipper. It is not dishwasher safe, it should not be soaked in water for an extended period of time, and it shouldn't be exposed to temperatures over 140 degrees.

  7. Step 7

Hand wash the cutlery. The Pampered Chef knives are not dishwasher safe and need to be hand washed in warm soapy water. Don't soak the knives in soapy water because they are very sharp and you can easily cut yourself reaching into the water to grab the knives.

  8. Step 8

Rinse the food chopper immediately after use. Then take it apart and place it on the top shelf of your dishwasher to clean it. If food gets stuck to the blades and they don't come clean in the dishwasher, you can use the nipple brush from a baby bottle brush set to clean the blades without cutting yourself.

Tips & Warnings
  • If you have food really stuck to your utensils, use the small nylon scraper to get the food off before putting it into the dishwasher.
  • Be sure to read the use and care cards for everything you buy. There are several items that are not dishwasher safe and you won't be able to return if you ruin them in the dishwasher.
