Things You'll Need:
- just a steady foot and relax mood.
-
Step 1
Dry to straighten the front wheels, if the car is front wheel drive, get your snow chain and spread it open on the ground, in front of the front wheel with the first cross chain touching the front bottom part of the wheel, spread out the chain for the other wheel too.
-
Step 2
Start up the car and move forward really slow, stop in the middle of the snow chain. Put the transmission on park and turn the engine back off. Hold both the first and the last cross chains to the top of the tire, reach over or behind the tire and bring both the outer end of the snow chain together. Wrap the end of the snow chain with the lock hook around the cross chain from the other end, throw the end with no hook on around the cross chain form the hook side and lock the hook to the farthest link it can reach.
-
Step 3
Next is to pull the outer ends of the chains together, wrap both end around each others first cross chain and pull the chain tight and lock the hook to farthest chain link it can reach. Do the same to the rear wheels if you have four chains.
