In the running world they will generally do what is called a wet test where they look at the imprint that your footprint makes to determine what type of support or features you need in your running shoe. Make sure you know what type of support you need as this will really determine the outcome of your running experience. -
Step 2
The next thing to think about is the millage you are planning to put on the shoe itself. I suggest that if you are new to the running world go with a name brand company such as New Balance or Saucony, generally all their shoes are excellent running shoes ill regardless of price.
In addition I have seen New Balances as cheap as 30 dollars you just have to spend some time searching for them. -
Step 3
The best places to look for running shoes are not in a store but on the internet. I've seen a lot of great deals for shoes that are either hard to find or too expensive to buy in the store. I've included some links below to find some great discount running shoes for a great deal.
