Things You'll Need:
- Subwoofer
- Amplifier
- The know how - to hook them up!!!
-
Step 1
Assuming your subwoofer is already in place and is hooked up to the amplifier Correctly
Turn the gain all the way down on the amplifier - So you don't blow your newly installed subwoofers -
Step 2
Turn the volume all the way up on the head unit with a CD of choice until you hear distortion in the High's and Mid speakers, then back down the volume a touch so there is no distortion present
-
Step 3
now if your head unit allows control of the bass then turn it up on the head unit before you turn up the gain on the amplifier - this is so you can have full control of how quiet or loud the bass is without having to adjust the gain controls
-
Step 4
Next start turning up the gain slowly, until there is distortion and again turn down the gain a bit until you hear no distortion - this is the max level you should be sending to the subwoofers
-
Step 5
play around with the head unit's (CD player's) bass controls until you find a volume for the subwoofers that suits your taste
