While you cannot directly link your eBay and Facebook accounts, you can instruct eBay to automatically share your auctions to your Facebook Timeline, which is free and can help attract new bidders to your auctions. You can set up this feature in the social media sharing preferences in My eBay.
Visit My eBay and log in if necessary. Click on the Account tab.
Select Site Preferences from the My eBay Views sidebar.
Click on Show next to Share Your eBay Items With Friends to reveal that section's content.
Click on the Facebook link to open a new page on Facebook's website, enabling you to grant permission to eBay to post links to your auctions on your Timeline.
Click on Okay twice to grant the necessary permissions and finish the process. While the first window requests permission on eBay's behalf to access some of your Facebook data, the second gives eBay posting privileges.
Tips & Warnings
- Once you have enabled automatic sharing on Facebook, eBay posts every single auction you create to your Timeline. This might include items you may not want some of your friends to know about, such as gifts you previously received or controversial material. While you cannot cherry-pick which items you want eBay to share, you can cancel automatic sharing before listing such items from the "Share Your eBay Items With Friends" section of the Site Preferences page.
- EBay does not share auctions that you listed prior to setting up automatic sharing.
