Instructions

  1. Removing Odor with Chlorine Bleach

    • 1

Remove all laundry from the machine. Mix 1 cup chlorine bleach and 2 cups of warm water in a bucket.

    • 2

Dip a rag into the bleach mixture. Wipe out the rubber seal of the door with the rag and bleach solution.

    • 3

Pull out the dispenser tray and fill the bleach dispenser to the maximum fill line with chlorine bleach. Run the washing machine through a complete cycle with hot water.

    • 4

Repeat the wash cycle with no bleach to rinse out the machine. Dry the rubber seal around the door with a rag to remove standing water.

    Removing Odor with Baking Soda

    • 5

Take everything out of the washer. Mix ½ cup baking soda and ¼ cup of water in a bowl to create a paste.

    • 6

Scoop the paste from the bowl with a clean rag. Scrub the interior walls thoroughly with the baking soda paste.

    • 7

Run a complete wash cycle using hot water. Dry inside of the rubber seal after the wash cycle is complete.

Tips & Warnings

  • Keep the washer door open when not in use to allow air to circulate throughout the machine.

  • Dry the rubber seal with a rag after each use to get rid of standing water, which can lead to a foul odor.

  • Wear rubber gloves and work in a well-ventilated area when using chlorine bleach.
