Things You'll Need:
- Consumer Reports Guide
- Internet
-
Step 1
Determine your budget:
Microwaves can cost anywhere from $35-$2,000 for a convection microwave oven. If you want a mid level microwave, then expect to spend about $100. However, I bought my mother in law her convection microwave (stainless steel) at Target for $100 on clearance. -
Step 2
Determine the make:
According to Consumer-reports.org, GE leads the microwave revolution. Their microwaves range from $70-$1,400 for the high end microwave. However, LG and Kenmore are also reliable choices. Do you need a convection oven or a stainless steel finish? If so, these options will cost you more. -
Step 3
Shop around:
Overstock.com offers an excellent deal on microwave ovens. With $2.95 shipping, you can't go wrong. I ordered all of my furniture and appliances from Overstock.com, and found that this company is top notch when it comes to delivery and product output. Also, check liquidation sales such as Circuit City. They are holding a massive going out of business sale. Shop around, read customer reviews, and hunt for the best deals at any one of the stores listed. If you do this, you will find the best microwave at the best price.
