  1. Step 1

    If you own a house or live in an apartment and you have electricity,here are a couple of ways to save money on your electricity bill.These ways on how to save money on electricity is not an instant savings,but it will add up over time.

  2. Step 2

    One way to save money is to change all of the light bulbs in your lamps and lights to low energy light bulbs.These bulbs are a little more expensive,but the savings are better and these bulbs last quite a while.The shape of these bulbs have a spiral part that lights up and you can get these bulbs at your local department store(s) or hardware store(s).

  3. Step 3

    On the packages of these bulbs will say the equivilent to normal light bulbs and the energy you will save.Lets say you have a 75 watt regular light bulb and you want to switch the bulb to an energy savings bulb.You will get the same amount of light from a 20 watt energy savings bulb than a regular light bulb.

  4. Step 4

    Another good way on how to save money on electricity is unplug all of the things in your house that use electricity that you are not using.When things are plugged in and not in use,electricity is still trickling in through the cords to the item.Again this is not an instant savings,it will add up over time.

  5. Step 5

    Another way to save money on your electricity bill is keep The lamps and lights in your house off and unpluggerd when not in use.Here are a couple of ways to save money on electricity in your house,if using both methods of saving money.The savings will add up in time.
