Things You'll Need:
- Anything Bob the Builder
-
Step 1
Purchase Bob the Builder invitations at your local party store or online at a discount party supply website. If you want you can make your own inexpensive birthday part invitations. Get some card stock or heavy construction paper and draw the outline of a hammer, a bulldozer or a construction hat. Decorate the construction item and write the information about the party of the card. You can also have your child help decorate the party invitations.
-
Step 2
Buy or bake a regular sheet cake and decorate it with a construction scene for Bob the Builder. You may be able to find small Bob the Builder figurines or toys that you can place on top of the cake also. Check your local bakery shops to see if they have any Bob the Builder cakes that they make if you don't want to decorate the cake yourself.
-
Step 3
Visit your local party supply store and pick up any Bob the Builder decorations that they have. You can also check out online discount party supply websites for decorations. It is not necessary to buy Bob the Builder decorations though. You can be creative and turn other items into decorations. Plastic hard hats can be placed on the tables and filled with candy or chips. Have your child draw pictures of tools or a bulldozer and hang them on the wall. Check online for free Bob the Builder coloring pages to blow up and decorate the walls with. Scatter construction trucks and any Bob the Builder toys your boy has around the room. If you don't mind a little dirt and the birthday party is outside, make a dirt or sand pit for the party guests to play in.
-
Step 4
Buy Bob the Builder treat bags or other favors that you find. If you want to save money you can make your own favors. Buy a package of small traffic cones and fill them with candy or little toys for each child as a favor. Check out your toy store and see if they have any small Bob the Builder toys that can be handed out for party favors.
