Instructions

Check the travel websites. Different Las Vegas travel websites, such as Vegas.com and LasVegas.com, offer specials on vacation packages and last minute deals for hotels and resorts in the area. Other specials offered through these travel websites include coupons for two-for-one dinners, specials prices for show tickets and transportation discounts.

Find and use coupons. Coupons can be found in a variety of places for discounts and deals that can help your vacation dollar go further in Las Vegas. Some places to look for coupons are in phone books, newspapers, local magazines or at the front desk of your hotel. Coupons can also be found in books, The Las Vegas Hotel Fun Book and The Las Vegas Entertainment Book, available for sale at book stores, Las Vegas hotels or online.

Get a casino player's card. Each casino offers a player's card that will track how much you spend gambling in the casino. You will accumulate points for each dollar you spend and the more points you accumulate the more freebies and discounts you will be offered by the hotel. Try to find the casino cards that work in multiple hotel casinos, which will add more opportunities to earn points.

Ask for a deal. Stop by the front desk concierge of your hotel and ask if there are any freebies or deals they can offer you. For example, you can say something like "I am looking to go to the Hoover Dam and was wondering if there is anything you can do to make it happen with a discount." Depending upon your hotel's occupancy levels, you may be able to ask and get a complimentary room upgrade.
