There are a number of things that could be causing the rash. One possibility is being allergic to the tanning bed (the UV rays in particular) itself. Take a day off from tanning and see if the rash improves.

2
Another possibility is an allergic reaction to your tanning lotion. These have been known to spark allergic reactions, particularly skin rash. I've been told that it is even more common with accelorators with strong bronzers. Once the rash clears up try tanning without the lotion and see if it reappears.

Another possibility might be a heat rash. Tanning beds can get pretty hot, causing your poors to drain, and baking in a pool of sweat is no holiday for your skin. Try taking a towel and standing up and wiping off yourself and the bed if you feel sweaty during tanning. Try to find a tanning salon that offers high powered fans that you can control blowing into the tanning bed, or that offers a stand up tanning bed to avoid this problem.

You can never be sure how good the tanning bed was cleaned between users. Try taking some kind of wipes to clean the bed before you get in. There is even a chance you could be allergic to the cleaning product the salon uses, so either way this could help.

Coco butter is good for relieving the itch of the rash, and it is always a good idea to moisturize the skin since tanning can cause it to dry out very easily.

6
Take a benadryl if you think this is an allergic reaction. If it is, banadryl should help alleviate the rash.

If the rash still doesn't go away after about 3 days and you've taken all of the steps listed above, I advise making an appointment with your doctor or dermatologist as there is a slight chance there might be something further wrong that caused this rash.
