An easy way to create beautiful and unique greeting cards for every holiday! Use vintage postcards, stamps, blank cards, and glue and -- unique, LOW-COST greeting cards. Even a basic greeting card costs $3 - $4 retail -- make your own and save! Simply glue a vintage postcard to the front of a blank card from the craft store, buy a matching envelope and you are good to go.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Vintage postcards and stamps -- pick up at flea markets, estate sales, yard sales, paper shows, antique shops and sales.
  • Glue -- any household paper glue
  • Blank cards and matching envelopes from a craft shop
  1. Step 1

    Shop at flea markets, estate sales, thrift shops, antique shows for vintage postcards and stamps -- buy in quantity for special deals!

  2. Step 2

    Buy blank cards and matching envelopes from the craft store. Pick up different colors for variety. Card can be a single sheet, or folding -- folding ones cost a bit more.

  3. Step 3

    Use different vintage postcards or stamps for holidays, birthdays, etc. Pick a vintage postcard or group of stamps that matches the greeting card.

  4. Step 4

    Spread glue lightly across the back of the postcard, and glue it to the front of the greeting card.

  5. Step 5

    Use old stamps, and cluster them on the front of the card for nice variety.

Tips & Warnings
  • Vintage postcards can be found quite cheap at flea markets, antique shows and shops, estate sales, thrift shops, etc. -- sometimes less than 50 cents each!
  • Buy in quantity for a better deal -- and bargain with the seller.
  • Remember -- greeting cards, even basic ones, are $3 - $4 retail. Make your own and save.
  • Pick up blank cards and matching envelopes at any craft shop -- buy in bulk to save.
