Make money selling your no-longer-needed items on Ebay!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

First, find all of the items you and your family can part with that are interesting and possibly of some valuable. Knickknacks, board games, evening gowns, athletic equipment, and books are just a few of the things that will sell on Ebay. Browse Ebay for items similar to yours and look at the going price. This will give you an idea of what your selling price should be.

  2. Step 2

Next, take digital photos of each item (use good lighting to get a clear picture) and load them into your computer. Edit and crop if needed.

  3. Step 3

Set up an account on Ebay. This is an easy, quick step that will be useful for years to come! Once you get started, I guarantee you will continue to make money on Ebay for years to come. Go ahead and set up an Ebay file somewhere in your home office or computer for all of your Ebay information (account info, Paypal account info, etc.).

  4. Step 4

Now, follow Ebay's simple instructions for selling an item. They will walk you through the process step by step. It will take you about 10 minutes or less to list each item. Keep your listing simple and clean. Just give the basic facts and require that your buyers only pay with Paypal! For shipping, guestimate about $5-10 for shipping costs, and require that the buyer pay for shipping.

  5. Step 5

Enjoy the selling process! Over the next few days, you will get to watch people bid for your items. The bidding gets really exciting within the last 24 hours, so be ready to watch the countdown! When your item sells, have boxes and shipping materials (tape, papers to stuff in around your item) on hand to package up your merchandise. Try to get your boxed items to the Post Office with 48 hours (but not until your buyer has paid!). Good luck and happy selling!
