Things You'll Need:
- Internet
-
Step 1
Depending on what kind of health issues you have and what type of irritants bother you the most, different people will need different types of air purifiers. Luckily there are air purifiers designed specifically for removing smoke, removing mold, or removing allergens in general.
-
Step 2
Maybe you'll need this less oftenIf you are like me, you'll want to search air purifier ratings. The best place I have found with some very honest and extensive reviews of air purifiers is allergybuyersclub, and I will put their link in the resources below. The site does a great job of reviewing air purifiers from every category and rating them from top to bottom. The site also allows you to search by category, brand name, or price.
-
Step 3
Stop the constant sneezingWhat are the top names in air purifying? IQAir and BlueAir are often mentioned as the top air purifiers, but both are not too cheap, especially IQAir purifiers. IQAir purifiers are terrific for those who have severe asthma, but may be overkill if you have mild allergies.
-
Step 4
Remember to factor in the maintenance of the air purifier when making your decision. Almost all air purifiers require a new air purifier filter every so often, but some are much more expensive and have to be changed more often than others.
-
Step 5
Finally, if you are looking for the top air purifier remember to make sure that the air purifier you are buying is an HEPA air purifier. A HEPA is a specific type of filter that is very highly efficient and can remove over 99.9% of even the smallest airborne particles.
