The web provides numerous opportunities for people who are looking for legitimate work at home jobs. People having a difficult time finding jobs may want to consider employment on the web as a virtual agent at a virtual call center, virtual assistant, or virtual concierge. This article takes a look at three ways people can use the web to land virtual jobs where they can work at home (broadband internet required). Here's how:

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Computer with broadband internet
  1. Step 1

Virtual Call Centers. Because of a backlash against outsourcing call centers to other nations where customer service representatives have difficulty speaking the language, some companies have begun to employ virtual agents who work at home. LiveOps pairs virtual agents with companies looking to set up virtual call centers. Alpine Access also offers employment opportunities for virtual agents who wish to work at home through web-based virtual call centers (broadband internet required).

  2. Step 2

Virtual Assistant. The virtual assistant is essentially an administrative assistant called upon to work at home. This person must have his or her own office equipment and is required to perform administrative tasks such as e-mail response, appointment setting, scheduling meetings, transcription, arranging travel, customer relationship management, and answering phone calls. This is a full-time, salaried virtual job that even features an association dedicated to furthering the virtual assistant career field: the International Virtual Assistants Association.

  3. Step 3

Virtual Concierge. Similar to a virtual assistant, the virtual concierge is a bona fide full-time virtual job. However, the job of the virtual concierge is geared toward the hospitality industry rather than office administrative work. For example, a client calls asking to reserve a hotel ballroom for the annual holiday office party. One company hiring virtual concierges on the web is VIPdesk. The company pays $14 or more per hour for full-time work which even includes eligibility for a full suite of benefits.

Tips & Warnings
  • These three virtual jobs are legitimate permanent work at home jobs. You must apply for these jobs with a professional resume.
  • A broadband internet connection is required for each of these three virtual jobs.
