Step 1
The Internet. This is one of the fastest and easiest ways to get information about anything. One great site is Biography.com where there is a wealth of information. Another great site for educational purposes is TeacherVision where lesson plans, crafts, and more are available.
-
Step 2
The library. Visit your local library and check out the many resources available for study. Most library resources are accessible on line. Also, they may have old newspapers on file of that time period.
-
Step 3
Visit a museum. There may be special exhibits to see regarding Black History Month.
-
Step 4
Your State government website. I have found a great amount of historical information on my state’s website, so I encourage you to check out your State’s website by googling Black History Month “your State” and this should pull up the information you need.
-
Step 5
Go to a conference or talk on the subject. Many experts on the topic of Black History Month are speaking throughout the country sharing their knowledge. Check your local listings for area events.
