On Mother's Day, flower arrangements are a great way for you to show how much you care about the woman who gave you life. Here are some tips to think about when ordering flowers for your mother.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

    1. Take the time to find out what her favorite flowers are for her Mother's Day flower arrangement. A good hint may be the flowers she chose for her wedding. If you can't find out what her favorite flowers are, you may want to to choose pink carnations. Legend says that they grew at the spot where Mary wept for her son, Jesus. Now, they are said to represent a mother's undying love.

  2. Step 2

Decide if she would rather have cut flowers or a plant. A quick look around her house will let you know if she has a green thumb or not.

  3. Step 3

Call or visit a local florist or nursery to order your flowers at least a week before Mother’s Day. That way you will not have to deal with the last minute Mother’s Day gift rush. If you live far away, call a florist near your mother’s home or call 1-800-flowers. They can make sure she gets them on her special day.

  4. Step 4

If you would like to save money, visit your local flower mart. They are usually open very early in the morning and you can find flowers there for about half the cost of the florist.

  5. Step 5

If it is even a remote possibility, try to bring the flowers to your mother yourself. Time with her son or daughter is the best present she can get.
