Anniversaries are wonderful occasions. At least once in your lifetime, you might be called upon to plan an anniversary celebration. The tips in this article are designed to assist you in creating a personalized anniversary celebration invitation.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Details of the party
  • Details of the couple
  1. Step 1

Collect all of the pertinent details, i.e., name of the couple, date, time, and place of celebration, host(s) of the party, as well as any other information that is to be shared in the invitation. I would reveal a personal story of the wedding of the couple and their subsequent years. Perhaps include how many children they have as well as grand-children or great grand-children.

  2. Step 2

Ask for sample anniversary invitations from the caterers or party planning store home you are working with for the celebration.

  3. Step 3

Decide on the paper or card stock you will use for the invitations. If you are printing them yourself, I would suggest buying paper that already has the design on it and you can print only the actual words. This will save on ink

  4. Step 4

There are a few ways to format your invitation. Here are some ideas:

Format 1 - Start with the details about the marriage and family information, moving to the actual anniversary invitation information, ending with RSVP contact specifications.

Format 2 - Reverse the order by starting with the anniversary invitation details, RSVP contact information, and then share about the couple and their family. Don't be afraid to be creative.

  5. Step 5

If the location of the anniversary celebration will be challenging for some people (including those from out of town) include a map to the party with your invitation.

Tips & Warnings
  • To make your invitation more personal, ask for special comments or tidbits of information from close family and friends to include on the invite.
  • You might want to include a photo of the couple. If you are really technical and creative, you can make the background paper a collage of photos of the couple.
  • Speak from the heart.

on 2/16/2009 So far I've only had a one year anniversary with my sweetheart. Maybe next year we'll do something like this though. :)
