Not only great for breakfast but lunch or supper as well. Easily adaptable so add what you like and enjoy!

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 cup shredded swiss cheese, divided
  • 1 cup finely chopped cooked ham
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 1 unbaked deep-dish pastry shell (9 inch)
  • 1 can (12 oz) evaporated milk
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • salt
  • pepper
  1. Step 1

Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees. If your shell is frozen, follow the de-thawing directions on the package. If your shell is refrigerated, you are ready to go.

  2. Step 2

Sprinkle 1/2 cup of the shredded swiss cheese into the unbaked shell.

  3. Step 3

Dump in the finely chopped, cooked ham and sliced green onion evenly over the cheese. This is where you can add what you wish, if you want.....mushrooms, tomatoes, olives, or other veggies.

  4. Step 4

In a mixing bowl, whisk together the can of milk, eggs, and flour. Add salt and pepper to taste. You can also make this thicker to go further by adding more eggs. I have added up to 10 eggs to make a huge quiche. Add an additional 1 tablespoon of flour for every two eggs you add.

  5. Step 5

Pour egg mixture into shell over the cheese, ham and onion.

  6. Step 6

Sprinkle the remaining cheese over eggs.

  7. Step 7

Bake for 45 to 50 minutes or until knife inserted near center comes out clean. Cool on a wire rack for about 10 minutes before serving.
