If you want to remodel your bathroom but are hindered by a budget, here are some quick and easy updates that wont break the bank.

  1. Step 1

    One of the cheapest, easiest ways to update any room in your house is to paint it. Pick a color that is subdued, or one that is a little braver, it's up to you. A few strokes of the brush and you have added value and aesthetic beauty to your home with a simple paint job.

  2. Step 2

    Tile the floor. The average bathroom floor costs less than $100 to in material to tile Tiling your own bathroom is a project you can do yourself with a little preparation. You will need to choose a tile, grout, and mortar. To keep the cost down, borrow the necessary tools; a grout float, tile cutter, and a trowel. A tiled floor makes for a dramatic remodel with minimal expense.

  3. Step 3

    Add some plants to your bathroom to bring it to life. They add color, and a are a nice touch to any bathroom.

  4. Step 4

    Update bathroom lighting. The way that you light your bathroom depends on whether it is strictly functional, or occasionally used for long luxurious hot baths. Be aware of the wattage you use, and the placement of the light sources in order to create the setting you desire.
