You will learn to quickly and easily remove paint from furniture.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • mask
  • putty knife
  • Easy Off No Fume Oven Cleaner
  • paper towels/rags
  • rubber gloves
  1. Step 1

Put on protective mask, googles, gloves.

  2. Step 2

Move furniture out into a well ventilated area. Place drop cloth or newspaper underneath furniture. Remove any excess dirt/dust.

  3. Step 3

Try a test. Spray a small area of the furniture with the Easy Off. Let sit for approximately 5 minutes. At the end of 5 minutes, take the putty knife and gently remove the paint. If the area has multiple layers of paint, it may be necessary for you to leave the Easy Off on for 10-15 minutes. It may also be necessary for you to reapply.

  4. Step 4

When removing the paint. Wipe the putty knife off onto a papertowel/rag.

  5. Step 5

Once you are done removing paint. Dispose of your papertowels/rags in a non-flammable container. Let the furniture dry, then use plain soap/water to remove any chemical residue. Wait approximately 1 day before repainting or staining your furniture.

Tips & Warnings
  • Dispose of your papertowels/rags in a non-flammable container. Always be sure to wear protective eyewear, gloves and mask to avoid contact with chemicals.
