Toddlers are so much fun..especially when you know how to keep them busy! Follow these easy steps to keep your little one on his or her toes.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • a grand imagination
  • a few toys
  1. Step 1

Get down on the floor with your little one! I'm sure you've already realized this, but the main thing your toddler desires is your attention. When you're on his level and he has your undivided attention, he'll be sure to stay entained much longer than playing on his own.

  2. Step 2

Get your move on! Toddlers love to dance...they like even better to see you grovin' and movin'. Get some fun kid friendly music playing and this will entain them for a while! Don't be afraid to get goofy, your little one will appreciate it!

  3. Step 3

Go out for some fresh air. It's important to get fresh air in any season. In the summer, slather on some sunscreen and go out for a brisk walk, or to play at a park. Your little one will love to explore their new world with you. Be sure to point out different sights and sounds. In the winter, who doesn't love a bit of sled riding? Be sure to bundle up warm!

  4. Step 4

Be on the lookout for local kid friendly events. It gets difficult to keep your toddler entertained in your home day after day. If you research your community you will find everything from public story time at the local library to nature walks at the local nature center.

  5. Step 5

Mix it up, but keep the routine. This may sound contradictory, but toddlers need consistency in their routine. If you do a new activity each day, try to keep it around the same time of the day so as not to interrupt nap time or bedtime.

Tips & Warnings
  • If you only have one child, keep in mind that most children love to be with other little ones. Arrange a play date or babysit other children for yours to play with.
