Prom time is just around the corner and there are so much planning to do from the cost of the event, limousine service, right makeup, hairstyle, shoes, and more importantly the dress! Prom dresses can be costly and for some girls not within their budget. There is different ways to get a prom dress for free or less pricey and look beautiful for one of the most special events in your life.

1. Shop online. Plenty of online junior retail stores sells prom dresses that are trendy, beautiful yet affordable. To name a few, Prom Girl. Go Jane and Windsor Store have different selection of prom dresses that in different colors and fits your tastes.

2. Look for programs that gives away free prom dress- Glass Slipper Project and Donate my Dress voluntarily gives away free prom dresses for young women who are not able to afford one. These programs are available in most participating US states so search for one that is closest to your area to get a free dress and even accessories and shoes for the occasion.

3. Buy prom dresses months prior to prom time- It's is best to plan for your prom months ahead rather than waiting a month or worse, weeks before the event comes around. Four or five months are decent as not many people are focus on prom and the result of that means the dresses are less expensive.
