The first thing you need to know is your Kindle email address. Sign on to Amazon.com and choose the "Manage my Kindle" tab. On that tab, you will find your Kindle email address. Amazon allows you to send PDFs to your Kindle at no charge.

    • 2

Navigate your Web browser to the Project Gutenberg website.

    • 3

    • 4

Select your title and download it as a text document.

    • 5

Open the text document with Microsoft Word. You could read it online through your computer at this point, but if you want to send it to your Kindle, continue to the next step.

    • 6

Save it as a PDF document.
