How to Make Your Own Wet Wipes
You can always have wet wipes, or as they are also called moist towelettes, on hand when you need them. These are great to make and put in your vehicle for those unexpected messes, or for a quick hand wash before eating. They are also great to pack in a baby's diaper bag for diaper changing, and because they are made from natural oils, they are not harmful to the skin. Make your own and always have a wet wipe when you need one. Does this Spark an idea?
Things You'll Need
- 1 cup Witch Hazel
- 1 teaspoon of glycerin
- 1 to 3 teaspoons of essential oil for scent
- 24 squares of heavy-duty white paper towels, or pre-folded napkins
Instructions

1
Mix your liquid ingredients together in a bowl. Fee free to choose the essential oil of your choice based on the scent you desire. Lavender is always a relaxing scent that tends to work well, but any will do.

2
If you are using the pre-folded dinner napkins, simply place them in a pie pan or the sort. Pour the oil mixture entirely over the napkins and allow for all liquid to be absorbed. Once the liquid is absorbed, place the moist towelettes or wet wipes into a quart or gallon size resealable bag, and seal them to hold in the moisture.

If you are using paper towels, you will want to fold each towel into three parts as if you were folding a letter. Then stack all of the folded towels on top of each other. Pour the oil mixture entirely over the paper towels and allow for all liquid to be absorbed. Once the liquid is absorbed, place the moist towelettes or wet wipes into a quart or gallon size resealable bag and seal to hold in the moisture.

Tips & Warnings
If you have a container that has a tight fitting lid, you can use it for storing the wet wipes rather than using a resealable plastic bag.
