Things You'll Need:

  • 1 - 3/16" concrete drill bit
  • drill
  • water level
  • measuring tape
  • Philip screw tip for the drill
  • pencil
  • framing square or a factory cut piece of paper
  1. Step 1

Line up one side of the framing square with the side of the window, line the top up with the top windowsill, with your pencil lightly draw a line extending the horizontal finish line of the window on the wall, you draw another line on the other side of the window. On the horizontal line, now is the best time to put a mark at how far you want your rod holding bracket from the side finish of the windowsill top corner, measure the distance and mark the other side.

  2. Step 2

Hold one side of the square lined up with the horizontal line, line it up with the mark, then draw a vertical line towards the top, 90 degree to the horizontal line.

  3. Step 3

Lay the drape down, put the rod on the drape where it's going to be at after you hang it. Measure from the rod to the bottom of the drape an write that number down.

  4. Step 4

On the wall, straight down from your top vertical line, mark where you want your drape to finis at after you hang it.

  5. Step 5

From the measurement that you get from laying down the drape, measure from where the drape finish and mark on the vertical line the measurement you wrote down. This mark is for the bottom side of the rod's holding bracket, put the first rod's bracket up on top of the mark and mark the screw holes. Do the same thing to the other side.

  6. Step 6

Drill you marks with the concrete bit, install plastic anchors and screw the holding bracket to the wall. Install the other holding bracket, put the rod to the drape and hang it.
