Things You'll Need:
- Hand miter box
- Miter box Saw
- Pencil
- Measure
- For painted Trim:
- Primer paint
- Finish coat paint
- Painters caulk
- For Stained Trim:
- Stain of choice
- Urethane Varnish (very durable)

Step 1
Select the base trim to be installed, making sure that it is of sufficient size to cover all cracks and gaps.

Step 2
For painted trim apply a coat of primer to the trim and two coat of finish paint.

Step 3
For stained trim apply stain to trim and finish with two coats of urethane varnish. For a really nice finish sand and wipe between coats of varnish.

Step 4
Measure the length of the piece to be installed. Make use that you cut the trim accurately (if not slightly long).

Place the cut trim in to position and nail approximately every 16 - 18"

Step 11
For finishing touches to painted trim apply painters caulk to nail depressions and cut joints. Finish with applying a coat of finish paint.
