Bible study is one of the nicest ways to enjoy your free time at home and to study the Bible with friends and family. It's a way to understand the meanings of the Bible in a pleasant atmosphere and to read sections of the Bible together and go over the meanings.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • A table and Bible
  1. Step 1

Set aside a specific time each week to study the Bible. Make sure the time is agreed upon by all the people that will be coming to the Bible Study. I've had several Bible studies and I find that it is nice to offer drinks and snacks for your guests. I used to have an early afternoon Bible study and I would always prepare a light lunch. That was one of my best group studies and we would have such a good time discussing the Bible and studying about the different people in the Bible. I think you will find that after a Bible study you will still be thinking about things that were discussed during your studies.

  2. Step 2

Try to set up your Bible study group when there will be no distractions. Tell friends not to call at this particular time because you are having your Bible Study. Pick a book from the bible to study and read it during the group meeting. Have each person read a few verses and then discuss them. For most books it will take a few studies to get through them. Take notes and underline important events that have taken place in the bible so that you can refer back to them if a discussion takes place about certain events that you would like to discuss. Revelations is my favorite book in the bible but it will take a lot of studying to get through this book. Psalms is another favorite of mine. I must admit that I have a lot of favorites in the bible.

  3. Step 3

Some of my best times have been spent studying the Bible. I've learned more from the Bible than any other book anywhere. A few years ago I spent 2 years reading and studying the Bible every chance I could get. I believe I must have been meant to study because it helps me to understand what is going on in our world today. Everything was foretold right in the pages of the Bible. It is right there for everyone to see. For people that are questioning what is going on in the world right now start reading the Bible. It will show you things that are taking place as you read this. The bible says there will be critical times hard to deal with. I think that pretty much sums up the here and now. I hope you do decide to have a study group and if you do you will truly enjoy every minute of it. God Bless

Tips & Warnings
  • Have a quiet place to study with good lighting and for people that have trouble seeing close they do have large print books.
  • Keep in mind that people will see some things differently.
