Step 1
Check what type of chocolate it is. Most packaging on the chocolate Easter bunnies will tell you it is either milk, dark, or white chocolate. Milk is your safest bet, especially when it comes to buying chocolate for children this Easter holiday. It's the most common chocolate, and it is sweet and creamy. It's pretty much what people think of when they think "chocolate." However if you know the person you are buying for prefers dark chocolate, look for this label on the packaging. This will appear darker than the milk chocolate bunnies. They have a more bitter flavor that some people find richer. White chocolate bunnies look cream colored. They are very sweet, and almost don't taste like chocolate. However if this is what the person you are buying for prefers for Easter gifts, go for it!

Step 2
Read to find out if the chocolate bunny is solid, or hollow. A solid chocolate bunny is often preferable for Easter gifts, of course, because it has more chocolate. Often a person who bites into a chocolate bunny is disappointed if it breaks off too easily and they discover it is hollow. However, if you prefer to have less chocolate this Easter holiday, but have the look of a large chocolate bunny, know that this option is out there. Hollow chocolate Easter bunnies usually cost less as well.

Step 3
Read the ingredients. If you really want a high quality chocolate, ANY time of year, not just a chocolate bunny for Easter, I'm going to tell you the secret. Look to see if the first ingredient is "sugar." Most cheap, poor quality chocolates have a high sugar content. If the first ingredient is "cocoa," or "chocolate," then you have found good quality chocolate Easter bunnies. Again, some people have their brand loyalties and that's perfectly fine. But if you don't know which kind they like, you really can't go wrong if you check the ingredients. If you'd like further information about making Easter gifts, I've included a link in the resources. Good luck, and Happy Easter!
