How to Decorate your Patio with Outdoor Fabrics

Whether your patio or parch is screened in or open to the elements, ot doesn't have to be bare and drab. Make it your own personal sanctuary that flows with the rest of your home.

1. Color inspiration. If you are stumped on your color choice for fabrics or furniture, look around you. Take cues from nature or look inside to the dominant and accent colors.
   *A good rule of thumb is to go neutral on big items and throw in pops of color with accent pieces.

2. Let it flow. Instead of your porch or patio being seperate or cut off, keep the style and decor the same as inside. This will create an easy flow and become a part of your home.

3. Mix it up. To avoid pattern overload, use prints on your cushions and accessories and go solid with your curtains, shades or area rug.

4. Themes. Again, stay true to the overall feel of your home. If the interior is shabby chic, you don't want to go ultra modern on the porch! Let it flow, stay true to yourself and don't follow trends!
