How to make Spanish rice

Spanish rice is a delicious plate that every one should serve for dinner. Spanish rice goes well with home made beans. If you want to make Spanish rice here is my instruction to make one cup of rice. If your Spanish rice comes out watery, soggy you are adding to much water. So here is the correct method to make Spanish rice.

Things You'll Need:

  • One cup of white rice, one can of 8 oz tomato sauce, two small cubes of caldo del res product name is Knorr. Small amount of oil, saucepan, pot, and a measuring cup.
  1. Step 1

    To prepare the rice you need to put small amount of oil inside the saucepan. Then add one cup of rice to the saucepan. Stir the rice so it could soak the oil. Keep stirring until you see the rice golden brown.

  2. Step 2

    Put some water inside the pot. Measure the water by using you middle finger first line. Put your finger inside the pot and filled the water until reaches the first line that you have in your finger. Don’t pass this line because you might get watery or soggy rice.

  3. Step 3

    Turn on the water to boil. Add the can of tomato sauce and two small cubes of caldo del res. When water is already boiling, add the rice. Cover the pot with a lid. Lowered the water to simmer. After ten minutes of cooking stir the rice one time, then cover again with lid. Rice should be down about 30 minutes, or until liquid is absorbed.

Tips & Warnings
  • Don't stir the rice too much.
