How to Sew Headboard Covers for Every Season
If the headboard of your bed has seen better days, or if you just want a change, these headboard covers are easy to make. They are primarily for a rectangular shaped headboard. Does this Spark an idea?
Things You'll Need
- Iron on quilters batting
- tape measure
- scissors
- material
- iron on hemming tape
- needle and matching thread
- 2 yards ribbon
- pins
- iron
- material of choice
Instructions

Measure the width and height of the headboard, then double the height measurement so that the material folds in half over the top. Cut the material.
Cut the batting to the size of the front of the headboard. Press onto the underside of the material. This batting will be at the front of the headboard. -

Using the iron on hemming tape, turn up about 1/2 inch along all edges of the material to make a clean edge, and iron in place.

Use floral for a romantic look
Use a stripe for a more formal look
