You can make Barbie furniture and accessories for free by following these directions and links. This is a great way to entertain your daughter or granddaughter.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Color printer
  • paper or cardstock
  • Internet connection
  • Adhesives like glue, tape or hot glue gun
  1. Step 1

Use the links below or search for "Play scale doll printables" without the quotes.

When you find a site that has something you want to print out, decide whether it should be printed on cardstock or plain paper, or even colored paper. If you don't have cardstock, you can also print on regular paper and then lightly glue the design to a sheet of thin cardboard or posterboard.

  2. Step 2

Print the printable file using your color laser printer or color ink jet printer. Be sure to adjust any program controls if you are printing on thicker paper or card stock.

  3. Step 3

Cut out all pieces carefully. Manicure scissors work really good for tiny pieces. You may also want to use a pair of tweezers to grip or grasp while cutting out the pieces.

  4. Step 4

Assemble your Barbie furniture or accessories by following the directions. You may need white glue, tape, rubber cement or a hot glue gun, depending upon the item.

Tips & Warnings
  • Although these Barbie accessories and furniture items are meant to be made of paper, you can stiffen any of them up by taping or gluing Popsicle sticks or strips of balsa wood to the backs of the pieces.
  • Once you have made a few of the printables, take a stab at designing your own items. This is a really good learning activity using geometry and spacial thinking.
  • Don't give paper Barbie furniture to a very small child. They will be disappointed when it doesn't last through their rougher play.
