Sending the money online is by far the easiest, here's how. It is also the quickest way to get money to your family member or friend. It typically shows up in their account in 3 to 4 business days compared to at least a week if mailing money.

1. Make sure you have all of the inmates information including full name, and inmate number, name of the prison they are in, as well as dorm/cell number if possible.

2. Gather the inmates information and a credit or debit card.

3. Visit the website jpay.com, sign up for an account.

4. Input your information as well as that of the person you are sending the money to. Enter the amount of money you wish to send, and send the money.

5. The inmate should receive the money in about 3 to 4 business days.
