How to Change Your Background on Your Blog at Blogger

Choose your blog's background from multiple color and image options.

Google's Blogger is an online publishing tool designed for ease of use. The programming takes a WYSIWYG approach, meaning what you see is what you get, so the changes you make will appear exactly as you expect if you make them using the tools provided. Your exact options will depend on the template you chose for your look when you designed your blog. If you have skill with HTML coding, you can further customize your background, but novices should stick with the tools Blogger offers.

Instructions

1. Log in to your Blogger account. From your main dashboard page, select "Settings" under your blog's title. If you have more than one blog, you will need to change each blog's background individually.

2. Click the "Design" tab.

3. Select "Template Designer" under the main row of tabs.

4. Click "Background," and then select the downward-pointing triangle next to the image of your current background.

5. Choose a new background from the options that appear. Each selection will appear in preview mode as you click it.

6. Select "Done" when you have selected a new background you like, and then click "Apply to blog."
