Looking for something to do? Have a few extra dollars laying around and feel like getting a little revenge on your friends? Paintball is the perfect sport for you.

Difficulty: Moderate

Things You'll Need:

  • Paintball gun
  • Paintballs
  • Mask)
  • CO2 or other air system
  • Friends to shoot at

First of all you must acquire a paintball gun and mask. Also essential are paint and air which comes in the form of a tank of some sort. If you have none of these but want to play immediately then look for a paintball field that offers rentals. If you would really rather buy then look around, the internet has great paintball sources. I recommend Tippman and Spyder guns, not too expensive and still alot of bang for your buck.

  2. Step 2
Everything you need except for paintballs. This comes from Tippman.

Gather your friends and get them to acquire paintball guns as well, or not. Really its fun either way. If money is an issue then there are many kits that come with everything you need, and the internet again will save you.

  3. Step 3

Familiarize yourself with the paintball gun and system. Locate the various o-rings that could need replacing on the paintball gun, know how to load paint and clean the barrel should a paintball break in it. Also know how to field clean a gun (wipe it down in the field) and change air.

  4. Step 4

Take a few practice shots. Paintballs are odd things in that they have a slight curve in their trajectory. You may want to compensate, DON'T! Just point and shoot for now, longer shots are the only ones affected by this unique trajectory and you can easily see how to adjust your shots later. Of course here's some advice, only take the short distance shots unless you have a special sniper barrel. The reason? Due to a paintballs round shape its path is never as simple as it seems and you may look like you have a shot made up until it veers off into the bushes at the last second.

  5. Step 5

After you have familiarized yourself with the paintball gun look at your mask. This the main safety equipment. Make sure you feel comfortable in it and it dosen't fog very easily. Never take this off, this is very important. Shooting people is fun, until you lose someone to an injury. Anti-fogging agents are availabe online from various paintall suppliers.

  6. Step 6

Gather your friends and have some fun playing paintball! There are many fields in nice areas to play or you can go and have a recreational game in just about anyplace. Feeling tough and cocky after beating all your friends? Then go join a tournament and maybe someone will notice you enough to sponsor you.
