If you and your partner have been trying to have a child for a while, then finding out that you are pregnant is a joyous occasion.

You might find out that you are pregnant before you husband does so now the fun begins with finding a creative way to tell him that you are pregnant.

Announcing that you are pregnant can be done sentence, but why not take some time for find a unique way to share the good news?

Consider your style as a couple and find some steps below to help inspire you on creative ways to announce that you are pregnant.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Various items depending on how you decide to announce your pregnancy
  1. Step 1

Is your husband artistic and perhaps an amateur photographer? How about getting a digital camera and snapping away pictures to announce your pregnancy?

Perhaps each picture could spell out: We Are Having A BABY! Or make it more like a picture puzzle. Then drop off the pictures to be developed, but have your husband pick them up for you. This will be a cool way to both announce that you are pregnant and start the baby scrapbook!

  2. Step 2

If your hubby is a bookworm and frequents his bookcase or if he often carries a book around with him, you can purchase a parenting book or other type of baby book to slip into his collection.

This way it will be a surprise for him and a surprise for you because you won't know when he will discover his "new" books!

  3. Step 3

If you find out that you are pregnant around Father's day, then you can plan a special day of activities in advance and he probably will just think that it is another day.

Pick a very cool Father's Day card, or make your own greeting card, saying "Happy Father's Day" and give it to him during dinner or an outing. He may open it and know exactly what you mean and instantly feel ecstatic that he will be a father nine months from then!

  4. Step 4

Does your husband like puzzles and word games? You can create your own crossword puzzle with clues about being pregnant, family, you and him, possible baby names that you guys have come up, etc...

  5. Step 5

Is your husband very calender oriented? Is he always checking his appointments, Palm Pilot, and other organizational tools?

Slip a reminder or appointment in his calendar during the month you expect the baby to arrive. Then nonchalantly ask him about a birthday/appointment/holiday that is in that same month and watch his reaction when he checks to find a new "appointment."

  6. Step 6

You can be a little more subtle about announcing you're pregnant to your husband. Purchase a few baby items to place strategically around the house.

You can place baby bottles with your cups and glasses, baby blankets in your linen closet, hang cute baby clothes in the closet, and even little baby shoes next to his work shoes.

Since you will be buying these items eventually anyways, this could be a fun way announce that you are expecting.

on 3/19/2009 No babies yet, but when the time comes, I think I'll be serving a special dinner of baby back ribs, baby carrots, baby corn. Then he has to figure out what all the foods have in common. And to announce to the family, I had a picture holiday card in mind, with the sonogram picture on it. :)
