Step 1
First, get someone to video tape your swing. You do not have to tape your voice on the video because the golf professional only needs to see your swing. They do not need to hear what you think you need to work on. Now, this may seem harsh, but it really isn't because a trained golf professional can see what you need help with without needing any verbal input, but if you choose to say something feel free. Now, if you want to concentrate on a specific problem you may want to say what you think you need to work on, but you may be surprised to learn what really needs improvement. Sometimes, you may think that it is one thing that is wrong with your swing, but a trained professional may say that you need to correct something else that will help with correcting the swing flaw. Also, if you could keep the video to less then 2-3 minutes that would be great. Just take a few golfswings hitting a golfball. It is better to hit an actual golfball because then you are swinging the way you normally do. Also, if you could video from face-on and from behind the swing that would be terrific. You can save it as an mov, mpeg, avi, wmv, wmd, or wmmp file. For more information on what these initials mean, you can just go to Google and search them. Usually, when you save your digital video to your computer, it will save it as one of these types of files.
