remove the Typing Animation or Motion in Second Life, when Typing

Ever want to shut off that typing motion in SL, while your typing in open chat? Well, it is a simple process, but if you don’t know where to look, then it’s hard to find. Also this way, you will not have to wear something, that turns it off for you. Here’s how you do it.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Second Life Game
  1. Step 1

In Second Life go to the top Menus: Advanced-Debug Settings... If you do not have the Advanced Menu hit Ctrl-Alt-D, to bring up the Advanced Menu (the Advanced Menu is full of all kinds of useful things).

  2. Step 2

In the Debug Settings Window, click on the arrow & scroll though to PlayTypingAnim and click on it.

  3. Step 3

This by default is set to True, set it to False and close the Debug Settings Window. And that is it! You will no longer do the typing motion, when typing and it will take away the typing sound as well.

Tips & Warnings
  • While I’m in Second Life, I keep a note pad near my computer, so when I find out how to do things, I can write them down, for further use.
