Things You'll Need:
- Computer
- Online Access
- Email Account
-
Step 1
Most internet service providers (ISP) have some mechanism for creating an electronic signature. The steps may vary a bit from one ISP to another, but all are similar. Let's use Yahoo Mail as an example.
-
Step 2
1) In the upper right corner of the Yahoo Mail inbox there is a small, blue pull-down menu titled, "Options." Click that link.
2) Scroll down to "mail options", and click that link.
3) A new page opens, containing a menu on the left side. Click "signature". A text box, with a menu bar will appear in the main window.
4) In that box, type your name, or whatever signature text you would like to have appear in your outgoing emails.
5) Highlight all or any portion of your signature text that you want to be clickable.
6) With the text highlighted, click the hotlink menu button (a small globe with a chain link).
7) A small box, titled "Hyperlink" will appear. Into that box, type the url of any site you would like the recipient of your email to visit.
8) Click "OK". That portion of your signature text has now become a hotlink.
9) Above the text box, there are two radio buttons. Click the one that says, "Show a signature on all outgoing messages."
10) In the upper left corner of the window, click "Save Changes." -
Step 3
Congratulations, you now have an electronic signature! Send yourself an email, so you can see what your recipients will see.
