There are always new updates to keep you protected. In addition to online safety, OneCare helps optimize your computer with performance tune-ups. OneCare also takes care of creating backups of your files. If you find yourself needing different software, you will need to cancel your subscription. The cancellation process is easy and painless.
Choose "Cancel Your Account" from the menu options. You will need your account information.

Uninstall the program. Go to "Start - Control Panel -- Add Remove Programs."

Choose "Windows Live OneCare and click Uninstall." You will need to restart your computer.
Cancel Using an Online Form

Visit the online support form listed in the Resource section.

Choose, "Billing Support" and then select, "No. This is a new issue." Click, "Continue."

Allow Windows to detect your current OneCare status. You may need to log in at this point.

Submit your account information and request that the service be cancelled. You will receive an email reply within a few days at most. If you do not receive a reply, try the phone method.
